Alfred and Irene Kärcher
|
The young Alfred Kärcher invented new electric heating systems for melting furnaces.
In 1935 he started his own business to bring his ideas to market. After he died
in 1959, his wife Irene continued the business until her own death in 1989.
In 1950 Alfred patented and produced the world's first high-pressure hot water washer.
In 1974, the business switched focus entirely towards cleaning technologies.
In 1989 Kärcher entered the U.S. market with the the acquisition of American Cleaner.

HD Classic Electric
This Classic Series unit is an electric powered machine that provides electrically-generated heat for those special applications where hot water is required but where has or oil-fired ignition is prohibited. Kärcher's German-built electric hot water machines are the most advanced on the market, featuring Kärcher's patented axial pump integrated with a 4-pole water cooled motor for optimum efficiency. Kärcher's efficient and compact downdraftfired burner uses far less fuel than standard coils. Units come standard with anti-scale system, low-fuel shut-off, low-water shutoff, high-temperature shut-off, thermal overload protection, pivoting spray lance, soft-grip gun, 5800 PSI/311ºF steam hose, and high-impact Power Nozzle. Also unique to Kärcher, models feature completely variable water flow, pressure, temperature, and detergent metering. Kärcher's careful attention to user comforts and ergonomics ensures that the most advanced and efficient machines on the market are also the easiest to operate. Units are ETL certified to UL and CSA standards.

HDS Hot Water Heater
Kärcher's Liberty Series 5.0/30 Ed water heater provides supplemental heat to cold water machines, giving users the benefits of hot water cleaning when it’s needed. An electric-powered diesel heated unit, the 5.0/30 effectively heats water at a rate of up to 5 gallons per minute.

These portable gas-powered hot water units are built using heavy-duty components and rugged steel chassis to withstand the most rigorous conditions. Their compact frame design and tubed pneumatic wheels provide easy maneuvering in all terrains. Each unit is ETL certified and comes with a leak free Schedule 80 heating coil surrounded by a standard stainless steel wrap.

Kärcher's Liberty Series offers 11 American-style models with their unique hand truck design, all-metal frame, heavyduty vertical heating coil with stainless steel wrap, waterresistant control box and tubed pneumatic tires. Units come with direct-drive Legacy pumps or belt-drive Kärcher pumps. All are ETL certified to the rigid UL-1776 safety standards.
